Dear Friends:
Words on a page can be magic. They can transport you to places of clarity, curiosity and intrigue. They can help you find parts of yourself you’d thought had been lost forever. They can discover new and precious places you didn’t think were yours to claim. Words create change and keep life interesting.
The books on this website are hand selected by me. I read them over and over again – although I usually fall in love with them well before the end of the first chapter. They speak to me in one way or another. Fiction or non-fiction, they touch me. In the pages I lose myself, or find myself, or simply explore. And I do, literally, read them over and over and over again. I’m able to do this because these works are so authentic, so straight from the author’s heart, that each time I read them I learn a little more, see a little more, understand a little more. These books are the author’s truth -- not some editor’s version of the truth or what they think will sell. They are the author’s perspective on a passion that they have lived and ultimately put into words. And now those authors want to share that passion, that perspective, their unique path.
Like any interesting path, it is impossible to know where the next turn will take you -- either with the authors writing or with what I am trying to do here on this website. As you read through the site you’ll see that I am doing some things here that are not standard to book publishing. The authors and I are putting their books online to read in their entirety for free. The books are available for sale as downloadable e-books as well as hardcover or paperback books. There are discounts available for individual book buyers, retail sellers and distributors – all through online sales. While you may not be able to speak to an individual when purchasing the books, you benefit from significant discounts on products that you are able to view in their entirety before purchasing. Since you can view all our books before purchase, they are non-returnable. It’s important to both the authors and me that we waste no natural resources by having to recycle books destroyed through the back and forth shipping of the return process.
